Sauti Academy – 1 year Artist Development for the most talented and ambitious vocalists
The Artist Development program is a one-year artist development program which prepares singers for a professional career in the music industry. We believe in true creative expression; everyone has a story to tell!
Our curriculum is innovative and focused on enhancing students creative skills. We believe that developing professional skills as well as the right attitude towards developing a professional career will be the key to success. Lessons include: voice technique, performance coaching, song writing, event organizing experience and music business workshops. Ultimately, all singers who complete the program will have developed a unique musical identity and a confident stage performance. They will also have gained basic music industry knowledge that enables them to start and sustain a performing career in the industry. Every four months we organize end of term performances to provide real life experiences for the students to test their progress on a stage in front of an audience of 250 people.
In order to qualify for Sauti Academy, you need to pass a competitive audition. More information about the auditions can be found here.
Sauti Academy fees are Kes 30,000 per term with the option to take additional classes at a fee.
Raw Talent – preparation term for Sauti Academy
Raw Talent is a 3-month preparation program for those who would like to join our artist development program, Sauti Academy. Singers in this program qualified as ‘raw talents’, but lack exposure, experience and musicality to join the Sauti Academy program at once. The Raw Talent program covers basic voice technique, develops the singers’ musicality and awareness of themselves as singers and introduces music interpretation and performance. It also intends to build the singers’ confidence level and helps them prepare for the next Sauti Academy auditions. At the end of the term, the Raw Talent students perform as the opening act during the Sauti Academy end of term concert. About 80% of the Raw Talent students ultimately qualify for Sauti Academy and often go on to be among the top students in that program. More information about the auditions can be found here.
Raw Talent fees vary depending on which option you choose, from Ksh 15,000 for group lessons only to Ksh 25,000 per term for group & individual lessons.
